An event every month that begins at 10:00am on day Second of the month, repeating until August 19, 2017
A hands-on exploration of over 150 years of medical advancement in Canada. Learn about healthcare practices around the time of Confederation. Handle medical artefacts and learn about treatments for various ailments by asking different “professionals” for their medical advice – some advice will be scientifically sound and some will be quackery! Create and take home your own home remedy to a common ailment from the 1800s. Conclude your journey through Canada’s medical history with an engaging talk about medicine and health care presented by a special guest!
