A Kingston native, Stewart Jones has a 4 year Associate Drawing And Painting diploma from the Ontario College of Art (AOCA) and a 3 year Classical Animation diploma from Sheridan College. His urban cityscapes have been shown in Galleries and Art Exhibitions over the past 8 years at the Toronto Artist Project, The Toronto Outdoor Exhibition and with the collective CityFieldNorthShore as well as numerous solo and group exhibitions around Toronto.
The drawings and sketches in this exhibition are a collective review of live music in Toronto and various parts of Eastern Ontario. Stewart started to draw back at Jason Collett’s Radio Mondays back in 2002 with Luther Wright and has covered a range of gigs and shows ever since. The Sadies live concert recording at Lee’s Palace, a few years at the Wolfe Island Music Festival, and most recently at Cuff The Duke’s two night stand at the Grad Club. Stewart grew up in Kingston, and has drawn and enjoyed the talent within. The musicians are known and loved and unknown and respected all at the same time. It is always about the music.
The opening reception will take place February 3rd and will include special guest performances. The exhibit will run until the end of February.
