Time to carve your pumpkins! This photograph, from the 1960′s, is of the Baxter Canning Company Ltd. in Bloomfield. Workers on the factory floor are cutting up pumpkins in preparation for cooking and canning. Baxter’s was one of the largest and longest running canning companies in the County; it was in business (under a variety of names) until 1994.
