Kingston’s waterfront from many years ago. This photograph was taken not to show the beauty of the waterfront, but to document the three Beauharnois Construction Company trains that were constructed by the Canadian Locomotive Company and were being sent out to the client who was eager to take delivery. The CLC operated a plant that dominated the waterfront landscape until it was demolished in 1971. In the background you can see the CNR passenger building which is now Frankie Pesto’s as well as a number of other houses on Ontario street which are no longer in existence.
