There are over 600 known cases of missing or murdered Aboriginal women and girls in Canada. These women represent 10% of the total number of female homicides in Canada, despite the fact that Aboriginal women make up only 3% of the total female population.
Help us honour the lives of missing and murdered Aboriginal women, support their families, and recognize this Canadian crisis. This event will take place at MacDonald Park (King St. E., across from KGH). There will be speakers, drumming, sacred fire and a potluck feast. All are welcome. Please bring something to sit on, an offering of food to share and plates and cutlery.
