The first half of the meeting will be a teach-in, with EPIC members discussing the questions:
- What is the relationship between big business and prisons?
- What is the Conservative agenda for prison expansion?
- How will corporations profit?
- How have other communities challenged prison expansion in their towns?
In the second half, attendees will have the opportunity to brainstorm strategies for mounting a campaign against prison expansion in our city.
The meeting will take place in the Wilson Room at the Kingston Frontenac Public Library (130 Johnson). Snacks and refreshments will be available, and childcare provided. Bring a book for a prisoner!
