CFRC presents the inaugural Stay Home Gala. Put on your ?nest, peruse the sumptuous menu, prepare for delightful speeches and… STAY HOME! CFRC 101.9FM, Kingston’s only campus-community radio station, hosts the fundraising event of the season that you can enjoy on demand: live and direct at 101.9fm or on-line via CFRC.ca anytime via CFRC’s on-line audio archives. CFRC’s special broadcast will provide listeners with virtual participation in the gala that is so happening, you won’t know it isn’t happening!
The Stay Home Gala is held in honour of Wayne Vermette and Jim Birtch, who each celebrate 30 years of broadcasting at CFRC in 2011. Proceeds will support free broadcast training for new generations of volunteers at Kingston’s not-for-profit, volunteer-programmed, local radio station. Your $50 reservation entitles you to receive tickets, menu and placecard for the Stay Home Gala by mail; entry in a draw to win dinner for two at Woodenheads Gourmet Pizza in downtown Kingston; a charitable tax receipt; on-air thank-yous; and the opportunity to participate in the special broadcast.
