Kingston has a wonderful tradition of having hilarious improv comedy talent. This is seen in the Kingston Improv Games, an annual tournament where students from high schools all over Kingston and the surrounding area get together to battle it out for improv glory. The winning team goes on to the nationals in Ottawa. However, as many of these kids grow up, they move away from home and out of Kingston and we don’t see them again, until now: the Holiday Season. When the kids come back from wherever they are in the world to sleep on the couches of their parents and exchange holiday love.
Come out to see the Kingston Holiday Improv Battle Royale at Time To Laugh Comedy Club. Two teams of improvisors will take the stage and have to perform improv challenges. The audience will vote with applause for the winner of each scene. At half time, the teams will be combined and improvisors will compete with eachother, fighting for audience love until only one winner is lefting standing.
It’s part reunion, part love, part comedy, and all battle-to-the-death. $5 at the door.
