Hear in the Dark

CFRC presents the first event in its 2010-11 RadioActive Carnival series of sound performance.   Hear in the Dark takes place in the Vogt Studio Theatre, located on the upper floor of Carruthers Hall on Queen’s University campus.

Hear in the Dark offers an immersive listening experience.  Seated in complete darkness, surrounded by an eight-speaker array, the audience will hear a range of sound art works by artists from Kingston and Montreal: Louise Bark, Eric Boivin, Decomposing Pianos, Neil Griffith, Matt Rogalsky, Sealegs, Irina Skvortsova with Neven Lochhead, Jessie Stephenson and Chris Trimmer.  Sunday’s performance will be simulcast on CFRC 101.9fm and www.cfrc.ca.  Doors open at 7:30pm both evenings, with the performance starting at 8.   Due to the nature of the performance, latecomers will not be admitted.  Admission is free of charge though donations are welcome.
