Kingston Symphony: Two Centuries Later

The Kingston Symphony joins the world in helping to celebrate the 200th anniversary of two musical masters – Chopin and Schumann. To honour Schumann they’re presenting his third symphony (the Rhenish). For Chopin, extraordinary Canadian pianist and a favourite of Kingston audiences, Janina Fialkowska, performs Chopin’s Fantasy on Polish Airs. She also premiers Juno Award winning composer John Burge’s Prelude Variations, inspired by Chopin. This concert will be performed on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 2:30 pm at the Grand Theatre.
