Kingston Symphony: Food for a Classical Soul

If Conductor Glen Fast was ever stranded on a desert island and could only hear one piece of music, he would wish for Brahms’ first symphony. It is, according to Maestro Fast, as close to heaven as you can get. If Glen could pick another, it would be Elgar’s cello concerto. The cornerstone of the solo cello repertoire, Elgar’s work is a lyrical and dramatic look at death and mortality. Be sure to hear what the Maestro means as the Kingston Symphony Performs Food for a Classical Soul on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2:30pm at the Kingston Gospel Temple.
