The Easter Seals Telethon will be hosting a Free Public Skate In Support of Kids with Physical Disabilities on 14 March 2010 from 10 am to 11am, and from 12 pm to 4pm at the K-Rock Centre. Open to the Public with a donation at the door. The Telethon has just six short hours to raise awareness and reach their goal.
Proceeds from the Easter Seals Telethon help give children and youth with physical disabilities the tools they need to achieve their full potential and future independence. In 2009, 40% of families who requested financial assistance from Easter Seals Ontario, self reported a total annual household income of under $40,000. By providing financial assistance, Easter Seals performs an essential service to families who might not otherwise have the resourses to provide for themselves.
