Dances of Egypt by The Veils of Isis promises to enthrall and excite the dance enthusiast and casual fan alike. The variety of Middle Eastern dance, music, and costume styles portrayed in the show include: Classical Egyptian, Egyptian Pop, Nubian, Pharaonic, Melaya Leff (from Alexandria), Beledi, Saidi (with cane), Khaleeji (from the Gulf Arab States), Dabke (from Lebanon), Drum Solo, Shamadan (Egyptian wedding dance with candelabra), Veil dances, Flamenco fusion, and Sword.

The Veils of Isis Middle Eastern Dance Troupe was founded in the year 2000. Since then, the troupe and its soloists have regularly performed to wide acclaim at local festivals and concerts, such as Folklore and The Women’s Art Festival, and at several invitational galas and shows in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal. The Veils of Isis troupe is presently composed of 11 women from Canada, the U.S., Cameroon, the Ukraine, and France.  They will be performing at the Grand Theatre.
