Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Parade is Kingston’s official kickoff to the holiday season! Many magical floats will spread holiday cheer all the way down Princess Street. Thousands of the young and young at heart are expected to line the street to catch a glimpse of the one and only Santa Claus.

This year, Downtown Kingston! is happy to announce that the Kingston Frontenacs will take up the position of Grand Marshal. The Frontenacs have had a great season thus far, which is helping to build excitement leading up to the 2010 OHL All Star Game & Skills Competition being hosted by the team at the K-Rock Cenre in February. Players, coaching staff and even the Count will be on hand to lead the parade.

The parade committee would like to remind spectators to bring their food donations for the Partners in Mission Food Bank who will once again be collecting food along the parade route.

Following the parade will be the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Springer Market Square starting at 7:30pm. Come listen to the sounds of the Kingston Carolers and watch Christmas come alive as Santa lights the tree and officially kicks off the holiday season.
