Exuberantly loud, boisterously active and wildly energetic, this premier taiko drum ensemble blends theatre and musical arts into a performance of tightly synchronized percussion and expressive solos. Besides using several dozen drums of different sizes, this innovative group performs on such traditional instruments as the bamboo fl ute, koto, and shamisen. Formed in 1993, Yamato has toured the world with its exciting and highly physical exploration of the true universal language — the rhythmic beat of the drum.  This drumming ensemble takes the stage at The Grand Theatre on November 28th.
