The stars will align for the opening of the Kingston Symphony’s 2009-2010 season. Experience Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition as never before. Through visuals created by renowned astronomer Dr. José Francisco Salgado of the Adler Planetarium, you will be transported through a virtual space gallery featuring awe-inspiring, art-like images and scientific visualizations of the planets, stars and galaxies. A brilliant performance of Rachmaninoff’s powerful Piano Concerto No. 2 by extraordinary Canadian pianist André Laplante caps this incredible event. There will be two shows: Saturday, September 19th at 8pm and Sunday, September 20th at 2:30pm, both at the Grand Theatre.
