Three former WHA players will headline the International Hockey Hall
of Fame’s ‘WHA Day’ on Sunday May 17th from 2pm to 4pm.
Rick Smith, Jim Dorey and Ron Plumb will be on hand to reminisce about
their time spent in the WHA and Tim Gassen, a documentary producer
from Arizona will screen a portion of his new DVD set on the renegade
league that rivalled the NHL for seven-years in the 1970′s.
The WHA boxed set includes rare footage from the league – most of
which has never been seen by the public – including Wayne Gretzky’s
brief stint with the Indianapolis Racers.
Tickets just $5 at the door with proceeds to the IHHOF. Copies of the
DVD and a book on the WHA will be on sale. A rare insight into this
