Just for Laughs presents John Pinette

A six-time Just For Laughs Festival veteran, with 18 sold-out shows in 2004 & 2006, a stellar performance hosting a gala at the inaugural Just For Laughs Festival in Toronto in 2007, and a record-breaking 2008 Canadian tour, John Pinette has been making audiences laugh for over sixteen years. Along the way, his unique point of view and self-deprecating wit have garnered him Stand-Up Comedian of the Year honours from the American Comedy Awards, as well as a Gemini Award nomination for his hilarious televised performance at the Just For Laughs Festival in 2000. His 2004 one-man show, I Say Nay Nay, later went on to become the fastest-selling solo show in Festival history. His 2006 performance filmed at Just For Laughs, I’m Starvin’! was one of the top-selling comedy DVDs in 2007, and was one of the highest ever rated specials on The Comedy Network. John has toured across Canada with Just For Laughs selling out shows in all major cities and has also appeared as Edna Turnblad in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray. John plays the Grand Theatre two nights in a row.
